Each month, you’ll receive a hand-picked graphic novel selection with a combined RRP of at least £26.99, chosen especially for you.Your selection could include anything from cult favourites and iconic franchises to fantasy, horror, sci-fi, action, gaming, literary graphic novels and more. Think TMNT, Hellboy, Conan, Transformers, Sonic, The Witcher, Invincible, Disney, Image Comics titles and plenty beyond.

Depending on the format and value of your personalised picks, your box may contain one premium graphic novel or multiple graphic novels - but the total RRP will always be £26.99 or more.Simply tell us the graphic novels, franchises, characters and genres you love, and we’ll take care of the rest.

How do you personalise my graphic novels?

When you subscribe, we’ll ask you a few questions about the graphic novels, characters, franchises and genres you already love, along with anything you’d prefer to avoid.

You can also tell us about graphic novels you already own or have read, so we can do our best to avoid sending duplicates.

From there, we’ll hand-pick each box around your individual tastes - whether you’re into horror, fantasy, sci-fi, action, licensed franchises, cult favourites, literary graphic novels or a bit of everything.

The more information you give us, the more personalised we can make your selections!

How do you avoid duplicates?

After you place your order, our post-purchase questionnaire will ask whether you have a Goodreads account.

If you do, simply select this option and enter the email address linked to your Goodreads account.

Alternatively, you can help us avoid duplicates in any of the following ways:

  • Email us photos of your bookshelf - we’ll take care of the rest.
  • Email us a link to another reading app you use, such as Fable, StoryGraph or ComicBox.
  • Email us screenshots of your Kindle library.

Please send any images, links or screenshots to Support@thebookboxes.com and include your order number in the email so we can match everything to your subscription.

Deliveries

Free UK Delivery on all subscription boxes.

Most first orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days. However, because we personalise every box, occasionally we may need to order in a specific book that we think is a particularly good match for you. In these cases, your first box can take up to 7 days to dispatch — we think it’s worth taking a little extra time to make sure you receive the best possible picks!

For subscriptions, subsequent renewal boxes are dispatched within 2 working days of your monthly renewal.

Orders are fulfilled using Evri Standard Delivery and are usually delivered within 1–2 working days after dispatch.

If you have not received your order within 10 working days of dispatch, please get in touch and we will be happy to look into it for you.

What is the Book Box?

The Book Box is a book subscription box that puts the books first! We don't jam pack your box with wasteful nicknacks, instead we spend the time and effort finding the right book for you.

After you make a purchase we ask a couple of questions about your reading preferences (this only takes five minutes) and then we handle the rest from there!

Each book subscription box is filled with handpicked books specifically ordered for every customer.

TLDR: We find books you will love, and send them to your door!

What if I have already read the book(s)?

This is a fair question, and one expected to be asked. Don't worry, we have thought about this!

Firstly to avoid filling your book subscription box with books you've already read, we will look at your Goodreads (or other reading app) and cross reference our picks with this!

If you don't have a reading app, you can send us a picture of your bookshelf and we can use that instead.

In the unlikely event that we do send you a book you have already read, don't worry! Free returns are available!

How do you find the right books?

This one is simple, we just ask a couple of questions about your reading preferences - which help us to get to know a bit more about the books you love!

After checkout, please make sure to complete our questionnaire (click this link) so we can find the perfect book for you!

How much is shipping?

If you are based in the UK,shipping is completely freeon all of our Book Subscription Boxes, and one off orders!

Do you ship abroad?

Unfortunately we do not yet deliver outside of the UK. However... we are working on it, so please keep your eyes peeled!

When will my Book Box arrive?

Our Book Boxes are usually dispatched within 1-2 working days of placing an order.
Subscription boxes are delivered within 7 days of your first order, with subsequent boxes arriving 2-3 days after your subscription renewal each month!

Orders are fulfilled using Evri standard delivery, 1-2 working days after being dispatched.

If you have not received your order within 10 business days, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will look into it for you.

Do you offer refunds?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at support@thebookboxes.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Why not start with a genre and go from there. You can always update your preferences throughout your subscription. But sometimes a genre can be a great place to start!
